Arrest Made In Monday Domestic Assault
A Lawrenceburg woman was jailed at the Lawrence County Detention Center Monday after police officers were summoned to intervene in a domestic altercation.
Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department answered the 6:30 p.m. call to 701 Holtsford Street. When they arrived, officers report discovering that the male resident, age 47, was bleeding from both eyes and down his face.
Officers report that the couple involved gave several different accounts of incidents that had resulted in his injury. They said that the female, Tana Charmaine Cannon, 34, of 1113 Clearview Avenue, eventually admitted she had scratched the victim during the altercation.
Cannon was arrested on charges of domestic assault and transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center. She is scheduled for an initial appearance in Lawrence County General Sessions Court on March , 2012.
